The business was started by Eleni Kakulas in 1994 as an offshoot of her family’s business Kakulas Brothers. Eleni’s grandfather Evangelos and Uncle Stavros emigrated to Australia from Kastellorizo Greece in 1923 and opened Kakulas Bros in 1929.
In 2015 Little Sister was created next door to the flagship store in Fremantle. A specialised old style delicatessen selling an array of beautiful local and imported cheeses and charcuterie, not to mention the best value lunchtime continental rolls and cheese toasties.
The shop along with Little Sister next door is a foodie oasis in the heart of Fremantle residing in a classic old Victorian building dating back to 1891.
