Ball & Chain bar at the Esplanade Hotel sits opposite the stunning Esplanade Reserve, overlooking the pines and across to Bathers Beach. This is the site of one of the first established pubs in the Fremantle township.
In the early 1900s, the location of Ball & Chain was a well-known corner pub called ‘Hubbles’, named after its owner. Over the years, the bar has been beautifully restored, highlighting some of the unique features of yesteryear and tastefully decorated with warm timber and copper finishes.
Complimented with a wide range of bourbon, scotch, rum and other enjoyable spirits, the Ball & Chain continues to serve great drinks and food with a smile to its customers as it did over 100 years ago.
Ball & Chain is one of several venues at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges along with The Harbour Master Bistro, the Marine Lounge Bar and the Poolside Bar.
