Situated in the historical Moores Building on Henry Street in an old merchant's warehouse built by WD Moore in the 1800's, this cafe is an enclave serving fresh sustainably grown local produce and great coffee.
Moore & Moore cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan and paleo diets and lots of their sweets are without sugar. Meat is free range/ organic and the certified organic eggs they serve are made by forest raised hens. Their milk is A2, they make their own almond milk and the locally made juices offered are cold pressed and preservative free. As well as sourcing the best produce, they trade as ethically and respectfully as possible.
Entry to the cafe is through the heritage listed laneway adjacent to the Moores Building Contemporary Art Gallery which offers a regular exhibition program. The cafe is a popular space for students of University of Notre Dame Australia to gather between lectures. Find a spot in the shady courtyard, pull up a chair in the main room or laneway before exploring the galleries upstairs.
A Moroccan High Tea is a highlight of the menu, available weekdays at 9.30 am and 1.30 pm and Saturdays at 1.30 pm (48 hours notice required). This venue is also available for private events including weddings.
