Fremantle Chamber Orchestra

Fremantle Chamber Orchestra performs unique repertoire with energy, expression and subtlety: a superb listening experience for the enjoyment and enrichment of the wider community from Bickley to Lake Clifton.

Fremantle Chamber Orchestra brings classical music to life with energy, intimacy and heart. Based in Fremantle and performing across Perth since 2005, this not-for-profit ensemble is known for vibrant concerts that balance beloved masterworks with lesser-known gems

Expect musicianship that feels both refined and alive, performances that move from delicate and lyrical to bold and stirring. Annual highlights often include collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists, including renowned Dutch violinist Rudolf Koelman, whose appearances with the orchestra are a standout on the local cultural calendar.

Concerts are typically staged in intimate venues such as Fremantle Town Hall, creating a close connection between audience and performers. Beyond the stage, the orchestra also offers bespoke ensembles for events, from small chamber groups to full orchestral experiences.

As a community-driven organisation, Fremantle Chamber Orchestra is powered by a shared love of music, with volunteers, supporters and musicians all contributing to keeping high-quality classical performance accessible and affordable.

Whether you are a dedicated classical listener or simply curious, this is a chance to experience live music that feels personal, uplifting and distinctly Fremantle.
