The Buffalo Club is a place of solidarity for workers, artists, and the grassroots community. The club regularly hosts art and music, and offers space for community hire and functions. The club was held by the Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes from 1938 until being incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1964, and is now run by members elected to a volunteer committee. Membership is affordable and anyone can join. Over the decades, The Buffalo Club has lodged a fraternal order, served returned servicemen, held union assembly, and hosted live music. It has been the second home of dock workers, diggers, darts leagues, and punks. More than ever, it is a space for different generations to share a pint, a conversation, and a game of billiards. The club's purpose is ever evolving with its member base.
