When you arrive in Fremantle by cruise ship, you won’t be far from the action. Fremantle Passenger Terminal on Victoria Quay is just 15 minutes’ walk to the town centre.

Transit ships (arriving and departing the same day)
You can seek assistance from our volunteer ambassadors who will be on hand with information, maps and advice on local attractions in Fremantle and Perth, as you disembark. A free shuttle service may be available to take you to the city centre to get a taste of what makes Freo so unique.
Getting around
When you disembark at Fremantle Passenger Terminal, you’ll find plenty of transport options so you can easily explore Perth’s Old Town, however you like to get around! Learn more about getting around in Fremantle.
- WALK (15 mins) | Exit Fremantle Passenger Terminal, turn right onto Peter Hughes Drive, follow the footpath along the railway tracks, cross at the pedestrian crossing after the adjacent railway station, and make your way into Fremantle city centre.
- FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE | Confirm with your cruise ship if this free service is operating*. The cruise shuttle provides return transport into the city centre for many of the international transit cruise ships. (*Operates based on passenger numbers and arrangements made on an individual basis).
- TAXI | Head to the taxi rank outside Fremantle Passenger Terminal to catch a cab.
- RIDE SHARE | Book popular services like Uber, Ola, Didi in Fremantle and Perth via the apps.
- TRAIN / BUS | Walk to Fremantle Bus and Train Station from Fremantle Passenger Terminal (approx. 10 mins) for regular train and bus services to Perth and connections to Perth Airport (view Transperth timetables).

Luggage storage
Fremantle Visitor Centre offers luggage lockers for hire during the centre’s open hours. Payment must be made via card ($12 per locker, per day).
If you are embarking in Fremantle, you may be able to check your luggage in at the Fremantle Passenger Terminal prior to the ship's departure so you can explore the city. Check with your cruise company to confirm the arrangements.
Parking
You can get picked up or dropped off at the Fremantle Passenger Terminal carpark. Due to operational and security reasons, you cannot leave your car in the terminal car park while you are on a cruise.
Short and long-term parking is available at the western end of Victoria Quay. Prebook your parking or view rates.
Cruise passengers seeking secure, undercover, long-term parking can park at the FOMO or Collie Street parking stations.
