Launching on the day of Freo Pride Fest (1 November), The Our Stories, Our Pride Exhibition celebrates the voices, stories and creativity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Curated as a month-long exhibition in the Fremantle Library, showcasing local experiences through writing, art and storytelling, reflecting pride, resilience and identity.
How to be a part of the Exhibition:
Fremantle Library and the City of Fremantle invites members of the LGBTQIA+ community to share your voice, your story, and your creativity in an exhibition exploring what Pride means to you.
This exhibition is a space for lived experiences, moments of celebration, resilience, connection, and identity.
We invite entries in the form of:
- Visual art
- Photography
- Writing (poetry, micro memoir, personal reflections)
Whether bold or quiet, joyful or reflective, your contribution can help create a collective portrait of what it means to live with Pride today.
If you identify as LGBTQIA+, we’d love you to be part of this exhibition. You don’t need to be a professional artist or writer, we’re looking for authentic voices and perspectives that shine a light on the richness of our community.
Entries open Wednesday 3 September 2025 and close at 6pm on Saturday 18 October 2025.
