A Telstra Road to Discovery winner and WAM Folk Act nominee, Helen is known for heartfelt storytelling, memorable melodies and songs that find beauty in the complexities of everyday life.

Australian Jazz Bell Award winner Allira Wilson is renowned for her captivating voice and distinctive approach to jazz and contemporary music. Her acclaimed debut album Rise and Fall won Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album, and she has performed and collaborated with artists including Kate Ceberano, Guy Sebastian, Barney McAll and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

For this intimate afternoon performance, Helen and Allira will step into each other’s musical worlds, sharing songs from their respective catalogues and joining one another in harmony throughout the set. They’ll be accompanied by pianist Harry Mitchell, with whom both artists collaborated on his album Sadness and Euphoria.

Bringing together folk, Americana, jazz and soul, expect an afternoon of beautiful songwriting, rich harmonies and three of WA’s distinctive musical voices in collaboration.

LUGANO

Simple songs for a complicated world.

Consisting of Harry Mitchell, Karl Florison, Ben Vanderwal and special guest Jeremy Thomson, the music is a lush, cinematic acoustic drape, designed for complete audience immersion. Their most recent recording was made live in a classical auditorium – no baffles, no headphones – the room itself became part of the music. The ensemble will perform selections from a recently recorded album that features small pieces that blend and crossfade into one continuous work….

Like an ECM mixtape unfolding in real time.
