Overview
The Local Hotel was built in 1897 as The Seaview Hotel. This iconic Fremantle landmark offers a selection of boutique rooms styled and curated by a groups of our local friends who live and love South Fremantle.
Cosy, comfortable & creaky floorboards all add to the experience of staying in one of Fremantle's more memorable hotels. Only 5 minute walk from soulful South Beach and less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of Fremantle, The Local Hotel also offers a public bar, lounge, whisky bar, restaurant and casual dining areas.
The Elephant Suite is light and bright, bathed in the northern sun and has been designed and curated by local Fremantle artist Anya Brock. The room features a king size bed, an epic Elephant wall mural and a piece of her "nude" charcoal series perched above the fire-place. A stay in the Elephant Suite truly is to immerse yourself in Fremantle's art culture.
The Chester offers a cross pollination of old world charm with new school vibe. Designed and curated by local fashionista Coco it features 2 floor to ceiling windows, a four-post king size bed and classic armchair, Chester is light and bright and feels like home.
Please note: all rooms feature shared bathroom facilities.
