Fremantle's iconic shopfronts are getting a Christmas makeover this year, adding an extra dose of Chrissy cheer to your annual Christmas shop. Retailers across town will wrap their windows with trees, tinsel, and no doubt a few distinctly Freo festive flairs, so make sure you come on down to see what they've got in store.
Stitched up! Christmas lights | 18 - 22 December
See Fremantle Prison's World Heritage listed Gatehouse light up with magical Christmas projections inspired by knitted Christmas sweaters, vintage Christmas cards, and stained glass windows. Bring the kids and cameras down from 7:45pm-10pm to capture the festive fun.
FOMO Festive Fair | 14 December
Kick off your holiday shopping at Freo’s newest open-air market. Offering curated and praiseworthy gifts, design goods, artworks, vintage and handmade wares, FOMO Festive Fair pops up Saturday, 14 December for a day of shopping, sipping, and hands-on creativity.
The Santa Downwinder | 14 December
This event is the perfect time to take part in a downwinder, whether you are a newbie to kiting or an all-time pro on Perth’s best downwinder route. There'll be a sea of pros with safety boats and a halfway get-out point to make sure every Santa and their sleigh makes it back in time for the after party.
