A three story Australian hotel constructed in 1902 at the height of the booming economic activity brought about by the discovery of gold in Western Australia. The Federation classical style of architecture represents the style of hotels built in Fremantle at the turn of the century and holds cultural significance for it's street frontage, place in the West End heritage listing and the characters that frequented the hotel over the last 120 years.
