Australia II’s famous America’s Cup win put Fremantle on the map 40 years ago. Now it's time to party like it's the 80s over the King's Birthday Long Weekend. Soak up the vibrancy and colour throughout Fremantle, from the city's heart, to Fishing Boat Harbour and Victoria Quay.
THE CELEBRATION (24 SEP)
A FREE event for the whole family. Catch iconic 80s rock bands playing at Freo's Waterfront, then experience the story of the ‘unwinnable race’ told by a sound and light drone show as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.

Explore the stories that led to the Australia II America’s Cup Victory, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the win. Entry to the WA Maritime Museum (home of Australia II) and its exhibition will be free over the long weekend!
