ReWild Fest

31 March 2026
Join this vibrant, festival-style celebration of plants, people, and the power of reimagining our streets.

This April, the inaugural ReWild Fest will see PIAZZA Fremantle become the focal point for the growing rewilding and depaving movement, transforming Perth’s urban spaces. The festival aims to inspire the community to rethink hard surfaces and restore nature to urban spaces. ReWild Fest, taking place on Saturday 11 April 2026, will be a hands-on celebration of everything trees, plants and rewilding, through free public talks, interactive ‘making’ sessions, stalls and local business participation. The festival invites the community to take simple, tangible steps towards greening their own neighbourhoods.

Opening the conversation series on the day are two of Perth’s most loved gardeners, ABC radio’s Sabrina Hahn and ABC TV’s Josh Byrne, joining a lineup of speakers, including Sarah Allchurch from WA Tree Canopy Advocates; Miyawaki Method researcher, Dr Grey Copeland; and WA forests expert, Dr Daniel J Martin. Alongside the talks, free workshops including bee hotel building and garden sign painting will invite involvement from all ages.

Stallholders will also fill PIAZZA, bringing together a mix of retail, community groups and local organisations, encouraging visitors to explore the precinct, meet exhibitors and learn about the work being done locally in greening, sustainability, biodiversity protection and community-led environmental action.
