Join Elena and Holly for afternoon art workshops! Each class will blend skill-building activities with a creative, open-ended project that students can use to build and share their own stories.
Term 4 classes will be run in five week blocks which will allow us to deep dive into a longer project. This block will run from Weeks 6 to 10, with dates differing depending on the age group selected.
When you book this block, you are booking all five workshops.
OUR PROJECT
In this project, we will be exploring paper maché, painting, and modelling. We will be creating our own hot air balloon, destined to fly off on wonderful adventures. We will learn how to create 3D objects with paper maché, including our balloon and the basket below, and how to prime and decorate these with patterns, fabric, textures, and miniature details. We will design characters to fly our hot air balloons and use polymer clay to bring them to life. We'll explore fun mini-lessons on how to use each material to create our desired effect.
PLEASE NOTE
We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting paint, glue and other art materials on. We use non-toxic and touch safe art materials.
TICKET INFORMATION
It is recommended to book tickets early to avoid disappointment, as the class size is kept small (7 or less children). Please purchase a ticket for each child that will attend.
Tuesdays are for 7-9 yrs.
Wednesdays are for 10-12 yrs.
