Fremantle’s sweet welcome to FISAF headliners, AFUMA
In a city famous for its unique hospitality, Chicho Gelato’s exclusive pineapple-guava sorbet seems a fitting welcome to AFUMA, when they arrive from Togo to premiere at this year's Fremantle International Street Arts Festival.
The flavour is an ode to AFUMA’s tropical homeland of Togo, where sweet and juicy pineapples are grown in abundance, so we hope this delicious sorbet will help them feel right at home in our port city.
"We’re proud to be working with Chicho Gelato to pay tribute to this incredibly impressive troupe of performers" - Sarah Wilkinson, Manager of Arts and Culture
AFUMA will debut their human skyscrapers on the streets of Freo at this year’s Fremantle International Street Arts Festival, taking place over the Easter long weekend. They will perform astounding acrobatic tricks which combine the art of storytelling with modern circus techniques and traditional Togolese songs.
Expect the unexpected at Fremantle International Street Arts Festival!
AFUMA will be joined by a program of epic proportions at this four-day family-friendly festival. From bubbles bursting into the streets, to witching hour opera sirens on the rooftops — festivalgoers are invited to grab a cup of sorbet and revel in the unexpected in Fremantle throughout the long weekend.
Chicho Gelato’s exclusive pineapple-guava sorbet will be available to scoop up at the gelateria’s Northbridge and Fremantle locations from 16 March until 1 April 2024.
