The road back to Freo is reopening. Discover a new 50 ways to explore it.
On 1 November, the new Fremantle Traffic Bridge will welcome visitors back into the heart of the city, marking more than just the opening of a new piece of infrastructure. It's a chance to reconnect with a place that's always evolving, always surprising, and always worth another visit.
That's why we're launching the next chapter of 50 Ways to Freo.
When the campaign first launched earlier this year, it celebrated the countless ways people experience Fremantle. Some came for the beaches and stayed for the bars. Others arrived with a shopping list and left with a new favourite cafe, a vintage treasure, or tickets to their next live music gig. The campaign reminded us that no two visits to Freo are ever quite the same.
And now, with the bridge reopening, there's never been a better time to discover a new side of the city.
Maybe it's the bakery you've always driven past but never stepped inside. The laneway you've never wandered down. The makers, artists, brewers, performers and small businesses quietly creating something special every day. Maybe it's a familiar favourite experienced in a completely different way.
Because that's the thing about Fremantle. Just when you think you know it, it reveals something new.
As the city enters this next chapter, we're inviting visitors and locals alike to look beyond the destination and embrace the journey. Take the scenic route. Stay a little longer. Turn left instead of right. Follow a recommendation. Try something unexpected.
Whether you're here for an hour, a weekend or a lifetime, there's always another story waiting to unfold.
There's more than one way to Freo.
Start exploring, start ticking them off and discover your next favourite way to experience the city.
