The Sewing Machine Activist is the creation of milliner Miranda Green, who has returned to the Fremantle Markets after almost 30 years.
Miranda Green designs fair-trade seasonal collections that feature sun wear, couture millinery and silk travel hats. Miranda's millinery is textile based with her construction techniques and use of raw materials unique to the world stage. She has had local, interstate and international customers. Miranda is also the author of two books, including 'Insights from the Big Picture Narrative of a Sewing Machine Activist', an exploration of the most pressing issues of our time and how we might go about attending to them. You can find Miranda's hats and books at Stall 30 (next to Collab.)
