Free Bike Hire

The Fremantle Visitor Centre offers free bike hire to visitors so they can explore what the Port City has to offer. All major attractions and precincts easily accessible by bicycle, there are dedicated cycle lanes throughout the city centre & shared paths running north and south so you can experience more during your day.
Hire Information:
- One day hire only
- Available 7 days a week: Monday - Friday 9am – 4.30pm, Saturday 9am – 3.30pm, Sunday/Public Holidays 10am – 3.30pm
- Current photo Identification is required (licence/passport)
- A bond of $50.00 per bike is required to be paid at the time of hire (cash or card)
- Bond refunds are processed at the conclusion of the hire, with timeframes dependant on your financial institution
- Charges will apply should any of the hire items be damaged, have parts missing or not be returned at upon conclusion of the hire
- Bikes cannot be prebooked, it is a first in, first served basis
- Bike, lock and helmet is included in the hire
- Bikes are only to be used within the Fremantle area or within a 10km radius of Walyalup Koort
- Bikes are not to be ridden or taken onto any beach or sandy areas
- Bikes are not permitted to be taken to Rottnest Island

During your hire:
- Please note it is a requirement in WA that you wear a helmet
- Be mindful of your time, and ensure you allow for adequate time for your return ride. The afternoon often brings in the Fremantle Doctor (wind/breeze) which can make it more difficult to cycle back.
- All equipment is due back by 4.30pm weekdays & 3.30pm weekends/public holidays
