Attention, WA Primary School Students!
It's time to fire up your imaginations and hop into your time machines! This is your chance to see your original and creative drawing turned into a real-life LEGO masterpiece. Are you ready?
What's the Challenge?
We want to see your favourite Fremantle thrown into the past or blasted into the future. Take one of Fremantle's famous icons and show us what it would look like in a different time period.
We'll select the most fun and original designs to be transformed into real life LEGO® creations by Perth's top builders. Picture your imaginative scene dazzling visitors during the July school holidays as part of the Freo Builds Trail. And that's not all – the public will vote for their favourite build, and the design with the most votes wins the ‘Ultimate Excursion in Fremantle’ for their whole class!*
'TIME TRAVEL FREO'
Choose one iconic Fremantle icon and show us what it would look like long, long ago or way, way into the future!
- THE CRANES AT FREMANTLE PORTS
- THE LEEUWIN (FREMANTLE'S TALL SHIP)
- THE DINGO FLOUR MILL
- THE FERRIS WHEEL AT ESPLANADE RESERVE
- FREMANTLE PRISON
- THE SOUTH MOLE LIGHTHOUSE
Let your imagination soar!
Maybe swashbuckling pirates are aboard the Leeuwin?
Perhaps the Fremantle Prison is home to futuristic aliens?
Could dinosaurs be living amongst the Cranes?
Or has the Lighthouse turned into a rocket ship?
You tell us! The possibilities are as boundless as your imagination!

The Ferris Wheel in the future.
