We are hosting six, acclaimed Greek producers in a guided, walk-around tasting at …by Old Bridge, where they’ll each present wines that articulate their region: from Santorini’s mineral-driven expressions to the layered styles of the mainland.
Move between 4 stations, taste over 20 wines including the top cuvees from each producer and explore with context from those who know them best.
Greek wine is one of the most distinctive categories to explore. Ancient varieties, coastal influence, altitude and volcanic soils come together in wines that are textural, mineral, savoury and deeply expressive of place. These aren’t just interesting wines, they’re wines that reward attention.
You can expect styles that range from bright, saline Assyrtiko to aromatic whites and structured, food-driven reds like Xinomavro. This is a special opportunity to ask questions, compare styles and build a deeper understanding of a category that’s often talked about, but rarely experienced like this.
There will be Mediterranean-style bites on hand to keep things ticking along, but the focus here is firmly on the wine and the people behind it.
