Alliance Française French Film Festival

21 March 2025
The Alliance Française French Film Festival is back for its 36th year, screening from 13 March - 16 April at Luna and Palace Cinemas.

The Alliance Française French Film Festival (AF FFF) is in full swing, drawing Francophiles to Luna on SX to enjoy the best of French cinema.

Now in its 36th year, the largest celebration of French film outside France is screening in Perth for five weeks until 16 April – the longest-running AF FFF programme in the country – with a 42-film programme packed with Cannes highlights, screen sirens, impossible true stories, and France’s biggest box office hits.

Audiences are invited to embark on a unique cultural journey, featuring captivating stories of passion, compelling biopics that delve into the lives of France's most iconic artists, and thought-provoking debuts from a bold new generation of French filmmakers.

And there’s no shortage of French star power either, with icons such as Charlotte Gainsbourg, Call My Agent! favourites Laure Calamy and Camille Cottin, as well as Pierre Niney, Louis Garrel, Vincent Cassel, and many more lighting up the silver screen.

Last year, the festival achieved a remarkable milestone, with more than 188,000 attendees, reaffirming its status as the largest French film festival outside France and the largest film festival in Australia.

It was also the second-largest national paid cultural event in Australia, surpassed only by the Taylor Swift tour – a true testament to the festival’s immense cultural impact.

Join the crowds already soaking up the best of French cinema in Perth, and don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary cultural celebration!
