The Blessing of the Fleet is an annual religious tradition adopted by many fishing villages and ports throughout the world to bless the fishing fleet for a safe and successful season.
Fremantle's Blessing of the Fleet is traditionally held at the end of October in the lead up to the new Fishing Season, this year taking place on Sunday 26th October.

Triduum Rosary & Mass at St Patricks Basilica Fremantle
• Tuesday 21st October – 7:30pm (Italian) led by Fr Giancarlo Iollo
• Wednesday 22nd October – 7:30pm (English) led by Fr Basti and animated by University of Notre Dame Students
• Thursday 23rd October – 7:30pm (English & Italian) led by Fr Giancarlo
Blessing of the Fleet Festival - Sunday 26th October
• 9:30am – Solemn High Mass (Italian) at St Patricks Basilica
• 2:00pm – Procession (departing from the Basilica)
• 5:00pm – Benediction
