BUY TICKETS | Neighbourhood Sauna, South Beach | 15 - 25 AUG, various times between 5 pm and 11 pm

Join sacred evenings of collective well-being with The Neighbourhood Sauna at South Beach and unlock the power of ceremonial sauna practices from around the world.

Imagine stepping into a serene oasis where the warmth of a Finnish sauna meets the meditative tranquillity of a Japanese onsen. The invigorating steam of a Turkish hammam blends seamlessly with the aromatic birch whisks of an Estonian smoke sauna.

All on South Beach, Fremantle.

Guests indulge in a two-part treatment designed to rejuvenate body and mind. These sessions will transport you to a place where the culture of sauna is sacred and powerful with ritual.

The Neighbourhood Sauna’s practitioners will guide you through the session, each carefully curated to enhance relaxation and well-being.

Part One

Each session is paired with an essential oil derived from the sauna country of origin The Sauna component of the session will be 60 minutes long and involve:

Traditional Sauna, essential oil, salt body scrub, Viht (Sauna whisks made from Birch leaves), Sauna Hats made from felt, ice bath (at 3 degrees), magnesium hot bath (at 42 degrees), hot tea (of the region) or mulled wine.

Part Two

The second part of the session involves a communal ritual led by trained professionals, to foster a spirit of togetherness and shared well-being.

After cleansing in the sauna and the senses are awakened, guests gather by the fire and will be led through a ceremony involving a choice of tea, cacao or mulled wine. Intentions will be set and burned on the open fire. Guests will then be invited to be part of a Primal Therapy session.

Primal Therapy is a somatic technique using screams, shouting, laughter or crying to release stored emotion in the body. Completed by the water’s edge, the ocean carries away and cleanses the soul.

Experience the joyous rage and leave with a full heart.

The fusion of global sauna traditions and the natural beauty of South Beach creates a sanctuary where the senses are ignited, the body: revitalised, and the soul: nourished.

Whether you seek relaxation, rejuvenation or simply a break from the everyday hustle, this experience retreat offers a transformative escape that will stay with you.

CRACKED

Community fires, history and healing.

Ceramic vase in a fire - 10 Nights in Port

FREE | Fremantle Arts Centre | 22 AUG, 6 pm - 8 pm

Hope is a life force that happens through us – it fuels resilience, unites communities and inspires change. Cracked is a participatory ceramic project and free exhibition that explores how communities rally and keep hope alive in even the darkest times.

The activation at Fremantle Art Centre pays homage to this historic site by sharing ancient and contemporary pottery traditions and creating space for guests to work with clay and firing kilns.

The grounds of the FAC will be illuminated by a trail of “community fires”: built and lit by guests, and breathtaking fire sculptures, around which neighbours, friends, and strangers can share stories, space, time and warmth.

Participants of the Alfred Lowe Workshop will also be firing their works as part of this live event.
