Fremantle is Western Australia’s home of design. There’s just something about this coastal city that inspires creativity – design is in the spirit and soul of this place.

Fremantle Design Week, the first design-specific festival in WA, will take over the port city between 14-21 October. It will inspire, entertain and challenge you through an engaging program of design-inspired events, conversations and open-studios.

Awaken your eye for local design ahead of this inaugural event with these design-led edits. Then immerse yourself in the city’s eclectic spaces and places and discover WA’s best artists and designers represented in WA’s largest open air shopping centre!

  • Paper Bird Children’s Books and Arts (42 Henry St): A dynamic children’s cultural hub which has evolved with writers, story tellers and illustrators to deliver workshops, kids book clubs, book launches and discussion panels.
